About The Dallas Sentinel

Dallas–Fort Worth news

The Dallas Sentinel covers Dallas, TX and North Texas: city hall and the county courthouse, the regional economy, schools, transit, and the growth reshaping the metroplex. When a decision changes how North Texans live, work or pay, we report it.

Who we are

The Sentinel is published by Vector Press, an independent local news company. It belongs to no chain, takes direction from no party or advocacy group, and makes its coverage decisions in the newsroom.

How we report

Stories start from public records and our own reporting, and each one is checked before it is published. The full process, including how we handle corrections, is in our Editorial Standards.
